Canditto Newsletter April 2008 Newsletter

Rush (in London)This is the first in a series of monthly emails I'd like to send to you about Canditto, the digital photography service I launched last year.   I'm sending it to you because nearly everyone who hears about Canditto has a "why didn't I think of that" reaction and wants to send it on to a friend.

Maybe you know of someone hosting a wedding or large event who could use Canditto?   (No?  Read on, or hit the unsubscribe button below.)

With a smile,

Rush
What is Canditto?
Canditto Kiosk Have you ever been to a great party where everyone is taking fun pictures?

Canditto is a self-contained kiosk that collects all those great party pictures before the guests leave the party.  At the end of the night, it creates a CD the party host can save (or share!) forever.

It uses patented technology to make sure that only the pictures taken at the event are copied, and it does it very, very fast.

Who Needs Canditto?
ScooterAny event with lots of people and many digital cameras can use Canditto.    Brides and grooms can use it to collect their wedding guests' pictures.   Summer camp directors can use it to collect their campers' pictures.  Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, birthday parties, retirement parties -- all are great places for Canditto!

Canditto is available for rental and comes with a trained professional who delivers it, sets it up, monitors it and retrieves it at the end of the night.  We take care of all the hard stuff so party hosts can focus on enjoying their special event. (Available in New England only.)

How Does it Work?
Picture from GalaInside the Canditto Kiosk is a small computer running proprietary software.    The moment a user inserts her camera's memory card into the kiosk, the software checks for any photos taken that day.  (It works even if the camera's clock is not set properly.)  The kiosk automatically downloads the new photos and saves them to its onboard hard drive.
At the end of the night. Canditto makes a CD for the host and hostess to enjoy right away.  Other file storage options (thumb drives, upload to websites/iPods) are also available.   Want to see it in action?  Check out the video.

Babson MBA Gala 2008

Picture from Gala

More than 390 people attended Babson's MBA Gala event in March 2008.  The Canditto Kiosk stationed there collected more than 1,050 pictures of happy graduate students partying through the night.

Even the restaurant's own photographer used Canditto to archive the 300 pictures she took.

The best pictures will be assembled into an online photo album and distributed to the guests by email.

What party will you go to this summer that should have a Canditto Kiosk?
Pass it on!
