7 Reasons You'll be Disappointed by Disposable Cameras 7 Reasons You'll Love Canditto What are your peers saying about disposable cameras

(Live Twitter feed)
  1. Guests don't take good pictures with disposable cameras. And why should they? Most bring their own cameras from home that will take pictures they get to keep. If you were a guest going out to the dance floor, which camera would you take with you?
  2. The pictures they do take are grainy and low quality. This isn't a surprise when you consider that the optics in a single-use camera cost less than $0.75. There's a reason why the digital camera you brought with you costs more than $6.00 -- it has quality optics, adjustable shutter speeds and lots of other innovations the disposable cameras lack.
  3. Disposable cameras mysteriously disappear. Somehow, more of these cameras find their way into guests' pockets and purses than back on the tables at the end of the night. Though every bride knows her guests don't do that... ...it still happens.
  4. The photos you get back are not always "family-friendly" photos. That old take-the-camera-to-the-bathroom gag is still being played out. Do you really want to see those photos?
  5. Disposable cameras are not environmentally friendly. Single-use-anything is becoming less popular and having cheap plastic in the middle of your table makes an unfavorable impression.
  6. Most disposable cameras use film and create prints. The rest of your life is saved electronically. Do you really want to have a stack of mostly-useless glossy 4x5"s to keep track of? The alternative, getting them on CD, adds significant extra costs.
  7. You won't see any pictures for several days. For many brides and grooms, the time it takes to go to the nearest film processing store, get prints, and bring them back means they won't see any pictures until they come home from the honeymoon. It's a long time to wait for a disappointment.

Want a second, third, or fourth opinion?

  1. Canditto uses guests' own, familiar, high quality cameras. Most of your guests will bring their digital cameras from home and many more will bring them if you ask them too. With a familiar camera in hand and lots of fun to be captured, your guests will want to take lots of pictures that you'll want to keep forever.
  2. Canditto is easy for guests to use. Canditto was created at MIT and tested at events with more than 400 drunk party goers. It has six patented elements that make it easy for even the most technophobic and disoriented guests to operate.
  3. Canditto is easy for party hosts. We'll send it to whomever you delegate, and it's as easy to use as a table lamp.
  4. Canditto provides instant gratification. Your two duplicate flash drives will be full of high-resolution photos the moment the event is over. No waiting!
  5. Guests are familiar with self-service photo kiosks. They already use self-service ATMs, airport check ins, grocery store check outs and the photo printer at the neighborhood pharmacy. Let them help themselves to the coolest way to share their photos with you.
  6. Canditto is affordable. Canditto usually costs just a little bit more than the cost of purchasing and processing photos from disposable cameras. For about the same price as an hour or two of a professional photographer's time, Canditto yields dozens of new perspectives.
  7. With Canditto, you can do more. All your photos are saved in high resolution on your flash drives so you are in total control. Make an album online, upload to Facebook or make prints at your local pharmacy's photo printer. With Canditto, you're in charge.
